Evidence before hype
The public progress dashboard
Follow the experiments with documented updates. Private tracking numbers are never published automatically, and missing revenue or traffic data is not treated as zero.
The open workbench
Real work. Recorded as we go.
Follow the work Ashley chooses to publish. Hours and USD amounts below cover published entries only, not the entire business. Blank amounts mean not reported. These are owner-reported records, not audited results.

Giving recorded
Completed gifts appear only after Ashley records and publishes them. An empty list does not mean no gifts have been made.
What the public evidence shows
Projects documented: 4. Financial totals, subscriber totals, traffic and profitability are not publicly verified. Each journal distinguishes planned work from completed milestones.
Current experiment status
| Experiment | Stage | Primary evidence being studied | Monetization |

| Building The Wealth Experiment | Active build | Repeat use and experiment starts | Not evaluated publicly |
| Side Hustle Lab | Live test | Experiment creation and return reviews | Free |
| Affiliate Experiment Lab | Live test | Evidence-workflow completion | Not evaluated publicly |
| Building Two Mondays | Preparation / interest list | Offer comprehension first; participation and completed work after delivery | $99 founding cohort; registration not open |
How this dashboard will improve
The owner work log records time, costs, revenue, lessons and completed gifts. Each site, entry and gift stays private until explicitly published. Traffic, opt-ins and broader revenue sources still need their own verified reporting connections.
How we measure success
More financial freedom.
More choice over our time.
Our main measures are profit after expenses and the hours it takes to earn it. Audience growth helps us understand demand; the wider goal is useful work, a sustainable side hustle, flexibility, and the ability to give back.
This is our measurement framework. Results and targets will be published with a reporting period and supporting evidence. Blank or unavailable figures mean not reported, not zero.
| Measure | Definition | Evidence and review |
|---|---|---|
| Profit after expenses | Revenue received, less refunds and recorded business expenses. Show revenue and expenses separately; calculate this before the giving allocation. | Reconcile payment records and expense receipts monthly. Count shared software costs once across the portfolio. |
| Income coverage | Profit remaining after the giving allocation ÷ a chosen monthly living-cost budget × 100. This is a planning measure before personal taxes. | Review monthly against a privately chosen budget. No financial-freedom claim until the period and basis are clear. |
| Time and return on effort | Total hours spent building, selling, administering and supporting the work. Profit ÷ hours shows the return on owner effort, not an hourly wage. | Log time daily; review weekly and monthly. With no recorded hours, the ratio is unavailable. |
| Customer demand | Qualified inquiries, paying customers, completed purchases and refunds, tracked separately for each offer. | Use inquiry and payment records weekly. Define the intended customer and need before labeling an inquiry qualified. |
| Website conversion | Confirmed signups ÷ measured landing-page visitors × 100. Track purchase conversion separately using the same page and reporting period. | Review weekly. Report the measurement source and consent-related coverage limits; a zero denominator makes the rate unavailable. |
| Audience quality | Net email subscriber growth, engaged replies, social saves and tracked visits from LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and X. | Review each channel weekly using tagged links and platform reports. Keep channel counts separate; do not add them as unique people. |
| AI productivity | Comparable manual task time ÷ AI-assisted task time, including prompting, review, corrections and rework. Compare outputs that meet the same quality standard. | Keep a task baseline and completion log. Publish a measured task-specific ratio only when both times are recorded; no blanket 20× or 100× claim. |
| Flexibility | Actual work hours versus the planned weekly limit, plus protected personal-time blocks kept. | Review the calendar weekly alongside profit. More output is useful when it supports the life we want. |
| Learning and decisions | Experiments completed with a question, evidence, lesson and a continue, change or stop decision. | Publish a weekly build update covering accomplishments, failures, lessons and the next test. |
| Giving | Track the minimum commitment, amount set aside and confirmed gifts separately. Show each recipient and reporting period when a gift is recorded. | Reconcile monthly; report confirmed gifts quarterly with appropriate supporting records. |
Build opportunity. Share the benefit.
At least 10% of The Wealth Experiment’s profit after expenses is committed, in total, to Convoy of Hope, Place of Hope, Christ Fellowship, and education through the Waymaker AI Fund for Education.
For this scorecard, the minimum cumulative allocation is 10% of positive year-to-date profit after expenses, before giving. An amount set aside is not a completed gift. Any additional amount needed is the minimum allocation less confirmed gifts for that period, with a floor of zero. Losses do not turn prior gifts into money owed back.
Current reporting status: published work entries and completed gifts appear in the live workbench above. Missing records are not evidence of zero activity. A complete, reconciled profit statement and recipient allocation plan have not been published.
Read the giving commitment →A simple rhythm for tracking progress.
- Daily: record the experiment, work completed, hours, expenses, outcomes and one lesson.
- Weekly: compare results with the previous week, review channel performance, and choose one next test.
- Monthly: reconcile revenue, expenses and time; review income coverage; update the giving allocation.
- Quarterly: publish a progress summary and confirmed giving, and decide which experiments to continue, change or stop.
Set a baseline before setting a growth target.
Use the first four complete weeks of consistent records as the baseline. Then choose a 90-day profit target, a weekly time limit, and one demand measure for each active experiment. These targets are not yet set; the giving commitment is at least 10% of profit after expenses.
For every entry, keep the date range, experiment, metric, value, source, verification status and decision. Keep personal details and receipts private; publish reviewed summaries. The owner workspace saves work entries and gifts to the site database. Publishing requires an explicit choice. Its private summary also reads workshop payment and refund records; traffic and email analytics are not connected to this scorecard yet.
