Building Two Mondays in public: the promise, the plan, and the next test

The first preparation note for the workshop: what exists today, why the scope is small, and what we still need to learn.

·

By Ashley Kays · The Wealth Experiment

I’m preparing Two Mondays to a Side Hustle around a concrete aim: help someone make a useful first version of a small product, service page, or prototype, then plan how to put it in front of real people.

This is the first preparation note in the workshop’s public story. The workshop has not happened yet. I can show the choices and materials taking shape now, and later add the observations the experience produces.

The decision: keep the finish line small

An idea can expand quickly. The workshop focuses on one piece a participant can work on during the sessions and improve with feedback between them. A small resource, one service page, or one prototype interaction gives the work a clear boundary.

That scope is also a way to make the teaching practical. Each person can name an audience, identify the task, and choose what would count as a usable first version.

What is ready to explore

  • The workshop page explains the three paths and session structure.
  • The free workbook helps define a project, collect feedback, and plan a launch test.
  • The project planner produces a practical starting plan and prompts from the path you choose.
  • The page has an interest form for people who want an enrollment update.

The planner uses prepared rules to assemble its guidance; it does not run an AI model or transmit the project details you enter. You can use it as a starting point and decide which suggestions fit your situation.

The planned experience

The confirmed founding-cohort plan is free, with capacity for 20 live participants. Sessions are October 26 and November 2, 2026, from 7–9 p.m. Eastern. The current page is collecting interest; submitting that form does not confirm registration or reserve a seat. See the workshop page for current enrollment information.

The first session is for choosing and building. The week between sessions gives participants a small feedback task. The second session is for revising, checking the experience, and deciding how to show the work to relevant people.

What I want to learn

Which starting decisions need the most support? Does the workbook help people narrow their scope? Which build paths need clearer examples? What gets in the way of asking for feedback?

Those questions can guide preparation without being presented as answers. Attendance, participant work, and outcomes will need actual records and permission before becoming part of a public story.

The next useful test

Have a relevant person read the page and choose a path. Ask them to describe what they expect to finish, what they would bring, and what the interest form does. Record misunderstandings before changing the page.

For later notes, the editorial plan is to document the invitations, the learning materials, delivery, feedback, and revisions. Updates will be added as those steps happen.

You can follow the workshop build log or try the five-day build-along challenge now. Both are ways to turn the story into a next step of your own.

Your next move

Open the workbook and choose a first version small enough to describe in one sentence. Write one question you would want a potential user to answer about it.
